Strengthening The Gambia’s Observation and Data Systems Through Research and Education, Helps Us Learn More About The Marine, Freshwater, and Coastal Environment

We strive to train the next generation of environmental stewards, connecting decision makers with up-to-date science, and inspiring communities to understand and protect the ecosystems that we all depend on.

We support students and young professionals in conducting research through biological sampling, chemical analysis, and physical measurements. In addition to using critical thinking skills to evaluate the health of the ecological system, participants also gain a unique perspective of the relationship between water quality, coastal processes, fisheries, and climate science. Our available courses combine many academic disciplines, such as earth science, biology, physics, chemistry, geology, and math.
