The Gambia Ocean Heroes is a service-learning project with over 2000 volunteers concerned about the increasing pollution along The Gambia’s coastline. Our main goal is to reduce solid pollution by conducting monthly beach clean-up exercises at various locations along the 80km coastline and to develop educational seminars to encourage attitudinal change about coastal pollution.
Also, GOH supports local communities and organizations to take the lead in efforts toward promoting ocean health and reducing plastic pollution. Since 2018, GOH has collected over 900 tonnes of trash along The Gambia’s coastline.
NEXT CLean UP
